The British airborne landing at Arnhem
The 82nd Airborne division landed around Groesbeek and Grave. The Nijmegen bridge was their main objective.
The 101st Airborne division landed around Eindhoven. They had to capture several bridges and had to defend the corridor up to Nijmegen.
Many men from both sides lost their lives during the battle for Arnhem an in fighting in the corridor. These are the main cemeteries where the men of the battle where buried, but this list is not complete.
