In february 1945 the area around Nijmegen and Arnhem was once again the scene of intensive fighting. The Canadian War Cemetery at Groesbeek is the silent witness from that period. The cemetery is located along the road from Beek to Groesbeek on top of a hill overlooking Drop zone T. Over 2.300 Canadians are buried at the cemetery. In total 2.617 soldiers from nine countries are buried here.
